How absolutely sweet was this 90th birthday weekend? The celebration came together on short notice, incredibly Rhonda Rush of Impact Events was able to make it look like the event had been planned for months. A triple crown horse racing theme that celebrated the story of Millard and his family, weaving itself through the details from the floral horseshoe display, the place card, chair signage, poems, photographs, gorgeous flowers, chocolate cigars, 90 (+ 1 for good luck) candles on the cake all coming together for an incredible three days of old stories, camaraderie, laughs and tears.
The Classroom at El Chorro was the perfect backdrop for Saturday evening’s celebration. The room looked gorgeous - the long table decorated with floral centerpieces - highlighted with photographs of the birthday boy throughout his life. A fortune teller/tarot card reader set in the bar area, the live event painter perched in the corner (amazingly painting a scene from the evening and presenting it at the end of the night), family photos dotted throughout, the incredibly restored set of rooms were the perfect complement for the man, his life, his family, his Arizona story - his celebration.
Brunch the next morning at the family home - perfectly catered by Fabulous Foods.
Monday's Dinner Celebration was in a private dining room in Elements at the Sanctuary Resort.
